USC Trojans

"Trojans garner top rated recruiting class"-

With the recruiting season finally coming to an end the usc Trojans, seemingly depleted from all the early entries throughout its star studded roster as well as losing valuable players who ran out of eligibility, had to find replacements for all the departed talent and came away with the No.1 rated recruiting class in the nation narrowly edging out the university of florida for that honor.

The usc Trojans signed 14 of the top 100 prep players in the nation The usc Trojans 2006 class may be one of the best in school history, due to the fact that several of the players can play numerous positions such as S/WR Taylor Mays (6-3 218) from Seattle, Washington who is a 10.5 sprinter with a '37 inch vertical leap and is considered the top safety prospect in all the land, WR/DB Vidal Hazelton from Chatham, virginia who received the highest player grade in the country with an 8.3 due to his freakish combination of size (6-3 200) and speed (4.47)

It almost seems unfair that the usc Trojans were able to lure so many talented prep stars from all around the country, many positions (RB,DB) which were a concern of the coaching staff due to depth are now now team strenghts.

running Back was a need and the usc Trojans got 4 of the best in the nation with the two headliners being Stafon Johnson(5-11, 200,4.4) from Los Angeles Dorsey H.S. and Emmanuel Moody (6-1, 195, 4.4) from Coppell(Texas)) H.S, both should be able to contributed immediately, this group will ensure the 4-time defending Pacific Ten Conference Champion usc Trojans of being a national power for the foreseable future.

Here's the complete list of usc Trojans signees: Kenny Ashley RB Venice H.S., Walker Lee Ashley DT Eden Prairie,MN, David Ausberry WR Leemore,Ca, allen Bradford LB Colton,Ca, C.J. Gable RB/S Sylmar,Ca, Garrett green QB Sherman Oaks,Ca, Stanley Havili FB/RB Salt Lake City,UT, Zack Heberer OL san Pedro,Ca, Jamere Holland WR/DB Woodland Hills,Ca, Vincent Joseph DB Long Beach,Ca ,Butch Lewis DT Aurora,Co, Anthony McCoy TE Fresno,Ca, Michael Morgan LB dallas,Tx, Alex Parsons DT Irvine,Ca ,Travon Patterson WR Long Beach,Ca , Antwine Perez DB Camden,Nj, Alfred Rowe DB Long Beach,Ca ,Derek Simmons DE Fairfield,Ca ,Joshua Tatum LB Oakland,Ca ,Gerald Washington TE Rancho Cucamonga,Ca ,Shareece Wright DB Colton,Ca in additon to the stars mentioned above.

With the addition of these standouts the usc Trojans have 40 players on their roster who will play in the nfl, according to one nfl general manager, a truly scary thought to all the opponents who have the usc Trojans on the schedule.

One Shot At A Time

Why should this cliche mean anything to us? On the surface it seems like a pretty meaningless catch phrase the pro's like to throw out during interviews because they have nothing better to say. And whilst this may sometimes be true, "One shot at a time" has a very real meaning.

golf is a slow sport and we have a lot of time to think. We have the luxury of musing on the past and future. That missed putt, "Oh damn just think how well I'd be doing if I hadn't missed it. Oooh, there's a par five coming up if I birdie it I might be abole to avoid going up 0.1..." Whatever.

These thoughts really aren't at all helpful. Rather we should aim to remove them because they break our concentration totally, lead to nervousness and anger. Ultimately they are the cause of poor play and all "caves" can be put down to suddeny becoming aware of how well you are doing (thought about the past) and hoping to finish it off well (thought about the future). When this happens we are likely to get nervous and "choke."

The pro's use one shot at a time as a mantra to bring them back into the present moment. They are only concentrating on what they are doing at exactly that moment, whether that be lining up a putt or talking to their playing partners. When the present moment is all that matters a Retief-Goosen-like calm descends. No shot is more important than another and interestingly golf can't make you angry.

Can you remember what you were thinking about during your best round ever? Take a few seconds to consider this...

For most people the answer is invariably very little. It's because you were so focused on what you were doing you didn't really think that much at all. You were too busy playing to worry about irrelevant things like the hole before or the greenside pond on the next hole. You were in "The zone". Another of golf's favourite cliches... :).

Falling out of the present isn't so much of a problem in continuous or fast moving sports though it is still possible. But that is no excuse to let it happen to you in golf. Next time you catch yourself slipping say that mantra to yourself "One shot at a time." And if that isn't enough there is the master cure to the disease of thinking too much: stretching your muscles. When you stretch you become aware only of the feeling in your muscles and it takes your focus into the present. Feelings can only exist in the present moment.

Read Hotel Reviews Before Making A Reservation

Before you schedule your vacation in uncharted areas, try to find hotel reviews that can give you an idea of what you will be getting into. Many times travel websites will allow previous users to post their experiences of a particular hotel on the site where potential guests can find out if the facility is going to be right for them.

Quite often pictures posted on the internet about hotels do not exactly match what the hotel actually looks like and if you do not find hotel reviews on that particular place, you could be in for a surprise when you arrive. Typically, hotel reviews offer information about cleanliness of the facility, the friendliness of the staff, the price compared to the quality of the hotel as well as the overall opinion the visitor has of their most recent stay.

Be sure to look for signs that the persons leaving hotel reviews are not allowing their opinion of the overall trip be focused on the hotel alone in hopes of receiving a refund or other form of restitution when none is truly deserved. If one review out of 10 claims the hotel was filthy with rude staff and nine have nothing bad to say, it could an indication that one person is attempting to get something back from the hotel.

Get What You Pay For With hotels

Regardless of where you travel there will be different standards for hotels, which will be reflected in the pricing. Many times a person will book a cheap hotel, expect the same amenities available in a high price location, and then post hotel reviews complaining about the quality. While every visitor deserves cleanliness and friendly employees, the amenities in a cheap hotel will not be of the same standard as those in a more expensive location.

Most travel sites will offer hotel reviews by stars, typically from zero to four with a four star rating being the best and one star hotel reviews advising you that by spending more money you will probably get more enjoyment from your stay. You should also consider the location of the hotel you are looking at and if the price is considerably less than surrounding facilities, that could be a hint that it will not be a four star unit.

You should also return the favor once you return from your trip by writing an honest review of the place at which you stayed. Be sure to be totally honest with any hotel reviews you leave as there may be other people depending on how you state your experience in making their decision of where to stay.
